Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Speech Therapist or Clinical Fellow for a center-based role in Hawthorne, NY. The position offers full-time hours, with a structured schedule Monday–Friday and competitive compensation based on licensure and experience.

The role involves designing individual and group therapy, conducting evaluations, and collaborating with BCBA and Special Educators to support language and communication goals. Benefits are provided for full-time staff.

Qualifications

  • Must hold or be eligible for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience designing and implementing speech-language interventions is preferred.
  • Ability to document progress and collaborate with educators and therapists.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement individual and group therapeutic interventions for your caseload.
  • Administer and create speech and language evaluations.
  • Collaborate with BCBA and Special Educators on language and communication goals.
  • Oversee AAC devices and use of communication supports.
  • Apply behavior management strategies during sessions.
  • Maintain professionalism with families and school districts.
  • Maintain attendance and billing logs and schedules.
  • Collect data on IEP goals and report progress quarterly.
  • Attend CSE meetings and annual reviews as needed.
  • Assist with program development and improvement.

Details about this opportunity:

Location: Center Based- Hawthorne, NY

Status: Full-Time

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30a-4:00p

Compensation:
  • Clinical Fellow: $60,000-$75,000
  • Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist: $70,000-$80,000

Please note this is an average. Rates are determined by the service provided, professional experience and license/certifications held. In addition the position posted may be either full-time or fee-for-service (FFS), depending on the current caseload which will be discussed during the interview. This arrangement can vary and is subject to change.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement creative individual and/or group therapeutic interventions for your caseload.
  • Administer and create speech and language evaluations.

  • Oversight of student’s Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices.

  • Maintain professionalism with families, school districts, and other professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely attendance and billing logs.
  • Create and maintain schedule.
  • Collect data on each IEP goal and reports on progress quarterly.
  • Provide input and attend/teleconference initial CSE meetings and/or annual reviews.
