REHAB WITHOUT WALLS IS GROWING IN HOUSTON, TX!

• Position: Speech Language Pathologist - Adult Neuro.
• Type: Flexible, PRN.
• Location: Houston, Downtown, Med Center, Sugarland.

Who we are looking for:

• An experienced SLP, enthusiastic about providing functional rehabilitation in real-life settings, such as at home, school, work, or in the community.
• Ready to treat patients beyond staged environments, incorporating activities like cooking, grocery shopping, dining out, outdoor activities, and workplace tasks.
• Thrives in an autonomous setting and values collaboration within a team of dynamic therapists.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience preferred.

What you will do:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
• Re-assess treatment effectiveness regularly, attend staffing meetings, and family conferences.
• Conduct discharge evaluations, recommend safety measures at home and in the community, and provide referrals and educational resources.
• Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure coordinated care and improved patient outcomes.

What you will need:

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Valid SLP license in applicable state(s).
• Current CPR Certification as per state regulations.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for complex neurological injuries preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 100 pounds following safety procedures.
• Physical requirements include pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
