Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Temple, Texas is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our inpatient rehabilitation team. The role focuses on evaluating and treating patients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and other neurological/orthopedic conditions, coordinating with staff to support return to community activities.

Requires current state licensure as an SLP; CCC-SLP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plans per patient needs and physician direction.
• Delegates and directs all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
• Designs functional treatment programs to enable effective return to community activities.
• Educates patients, families, students, coworkers and self.
• Performs other professional duties related to patient care, therapy services, and program delivery.
• Coordinates treatment programs with other clinical/therapeutic services and community resources.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current state licensure as Speech Language Pathologist required.
• Certified CLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required

Preferred Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association preferred
