Job summary

AnthroMed Education is seeking a full-time Elementary Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential support to K-5 students from January to June 2025. This role includes working in both general and self-contained classrooms, offering services tailored to individual needs, and working closely with educational staff to enhance student outcomes.

Job description

AnthroMed Education is seeking an Elementary Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for a full-time role starting January 6th through June 3rd, 2025, with an opportunity to shadow the current SLP before they transition out in December. This position involves providing speech and language support to K-5th grade students in both general education and self-contained classrooms.

  • Location: Summit, IL
  • Start Date: January 6th, 2025 (shadowing available in December)
  • End Date: June 3rd, 2025
  • Caseload: Approximately 40 students in K-5th grade, supporting general education and self-contained classrooms
  • Schedule: Full-time
Responsibilities:
  • Provide speech and language services to K-5th grade students.
  • Work with students in general education and self-contained classroom settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers and the special education team to support student progress.
  • Conduct evaluations, develop IEPs, and implement individualized plans for students.
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an SLP endorsement
  • Experience working in school settings is preferred
  • Strong ability to work with a multidisciplinary team
