Job summary

Reliant Rehabilitation in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver services in accordance with clinical standards and state regulations. You will screen and evaluate patients, develop and implement treatment plans, and collaborate with facility staff to ensure high-quality care.

The role offers professional development, mentoring, and a supportive team within one of the nation’s largest contract therapy providers.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Valid Speech-Language Pathologist state license.

Responsibilities

• Deliver SLP services to patients in accordance with therapy principles and standards.
• Screen and evaluate patients; develop and implement treatment plans.
• Discharge planning and case management with facility staff.
• Maintain professional conduct and comply with state and federal regulations.
• Improve communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing abilities through direct care.
• Collaborate with teams to strengthen the SLP program and clinical leadership.
• Maintain licensure and stay informed on standards in speech-language pathology.
• Adhere to infection control and patient confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

Delivering Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) services to patients in accordance with the principles of speech-language therapy and Reliant Rehabilitation’s standards. Foster positive relationships with clients and facility staff while providing high-quality care, including patient screening and evaluation, development and implementation of treatment plans, discharge planning, and case management. Uphold professional conduct that reflects Reliant Rehabilitation’s commitment to excellence and comply with all applicable state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Improve patients’ communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing abilities through direct provision and oversight of speech therapy
• Contribute to the development and sustainability of a robust SLP program
• Strengthen clinical, professional, and leadership skills through collaboration, self-study, and continuing education
• Maintain a valid state license and stay informed on developments in speech-language pathology and the healthcare environment
• Apply knowledge of relevant billing models and treatment guidelines to ensure care meets clinical and regulatory standards
• Deliver care that aligns with treatment goals and produces meaningful outcomes
• Adhere to infection control and environmental safety protocols within the facility
• Demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English for effective communication and documentation
• Maintaining confidentiality as appropriate and ensuring compliance with the state practice act in the state(s) where you are licensed.

Qualifications

• Valid Speech-Language Pathologist state license
