Job summary

Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to assess, treat, plan, implement, educate, and demonstrate techniques addressing speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders for patients and families, with supervisory guidance available as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
• California SLP license required on hire.
• National Provider BLS (American Heart Association) on hire.
• Competencies in therapeutic feedings, patient transfers, and Modified Barium Swallow studies.

Job description

The practice of speech-language pathology shall include assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, communication, and demonstration of techniques addressing speech language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders to meet the needs of patients and their families with supervisory guidance provided as needed. Therapists completing a Clinical Fellowship year will receive supervision in accordance with rules delineated by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's Degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
• Completion of, or eligibility for, Clinical Fellowship Year.
• Speech-Language Pathology Area of Specialization - Completion of competencies for:
  • Therapeutic feedings,
  • Patient transfers, and
  • Assistance with Modified Barium Swallow studies.
• California Speech Language Pathologist License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Educated or trained in dysphagia assessment and management.
• 1 year Acute care or inpatient rehabilitation experience.
