Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist to join our hospital team.

The 8-hour day shifts provide a stable schedule within a supportive, patient-focused environment. You will evaluate, plan, direct and administer speech-language pathology services to restore function after disease or injury, helping patients reach maximal communication and swallowing abilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board approved program.
• License as a Speech Language Pathologist in California required upon hire.
• BLS certification required upon hire.

Description

Speech Language Pathologist at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA. This position is FullTime and will work 8-hour, Day shifts.

Evaluates, plans, directs and administers medically prescribed speech/language pathology programs in the hospital to restore function and prevent disability following disease or injury. Assists patient to reach his/her maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of his/her capabilities. Performs administrative duties and participates in department Performance Improvement, Infection Control, Safety and Education programs. The Staff Speech and Language Therapist may be assigned to orient staff and students and to assume the duties and responsibilities of the supervisor in the absence of that individual.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training and Graduate of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board training program.
• Upon hire: California Speech Language Pathologist License
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

• Upon hire: California Children’s Services (CCS) paneled
• Experience in acute care, outpatient, adult or pediatrics.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay Range: $48.79 - $75.74
