Total Care Therapy is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist for part-time roles across our East Columbus/central Ohio facilities. You will evaluate and treat geriatrics, focusing on communication, cognition, and swallowing, with individualized plans to improve residents' independence.

The role emphasizes collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, EMR documentation, and ongoing mentorship in a therapist-owned, supportive environment.

Competenze

• Active State SLP license required or eligible.
• CCC-SLP preferred or eligible status.
• CPR/BLS certification and valid driver's license.

Mansioni

• Evaluate residents and diagnose speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing.
• Perform dysphagia evaluations and implement swallowing interventions.

About the Role

As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders while developing individualized treatment plans that improve residents' quality of life and functional independence.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized speech therapy plans of care.
• Assess and treat speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Perform dysphagia evaluations and implement appropriate swallowing interventions.
• Reassess patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation using the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Educate residents, caregivers, and facility staff on communication strategies, swallowing precautions, and home exercise programs.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, dietitians, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Maintain a productive clinical caseload while delivering compassionate, evidence-based therapy services.

Qualifications

• Current State Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred (or eligibility if applicable)
• Current CPR/BLS Certification
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
• Experience in geriatrics, home health, assisted living, or skilled nursing preferred but not required
