Job summary

Total Care Therapy seeks a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders among older adults in Cincinnati's assisted living settings.

You'll develop individualized treatment plans, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and educate residents and caregivers while maintaining EMR documentation. Part-time schedule with competitive hourly compensation is offered.

Qualifications

• Current State Speech-Language Pathologist license.
• CCC-SLP preferred or eligible.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Experience in geriatrics, home health, assisted living, or skilled nursing preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized speech therapy plans of care.
• Assess and treat speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Perform dysphagia evaluations and implement swallowing interventions.
• Reassess patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation using the EMR.
• Educate residents, caregivers, and facility staff on communication strategies and home exercise programs.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, dietitians, and interdisciplinary team members for coordinated care.
• Maintain a productive clinical caseload while delivering evidence-based therapy services.

About the Role As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders while developing individualized treatment plans that improve residents’ quality of life and functional independence.

Responsibilities

Evaluate residents and develop individualized speech therapy plans of care.

Assess and treat speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.

Perform dysphagia evaluations and implement appropriate swallowing interventions.

Reassess patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Complete timely and accurate documentation using the electronic medical record (EMR).

Educate residents, caregivers, and facility staff on communication strategies, swallowing precautions, and home exercise programs.

Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, dietitians, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.

Maintain a productive clinical caseload while delivering compassionate, evidence-based therapy services.

Qualifications

Current State Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License

Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred (or eligibility if applicable)

Current CPR/BLS Certification

Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance

Experience in geriatrics, home health, assisted living, or skilled nursing preferred but not required
