Job summary

Sunny Days Early Childhood Developmental Services, Inc. is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide therapy for infants and toddlers within pediatric settings. The role involves working with families, implementing IFSP goals, and coaching caregivers in home and community environments.

The position emphasizes a flexible schedule, the option to choose where and when services are delivered, and a competitive hourly wage based on experience, with a sign-on bonus potentially available.

Qualifications

• PA SLP license required.
• Early Intervention experience or equivalent.
• Pediatric experience required.
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Speech Therapy services and consult with family members and other professionals.
• Follow Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and develop methodologies for reaching each child’s specific developmental goals.
• Coach family members and caregivers on intervention strategies to facilitate involvement at home and in the community.
• Provide services in homes, daycare centers, and other community settings.
• Ensure progress is generalized and caregivers are active participants, with coaching and team communication.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain confidentiality of information in accordance with HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide Speech Therapy services and consult with family members and other professionals working with the family
• Follow Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and develop methodologies for reaching each child’s specific developmental goals
• Coach family members and caregivers on various intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over in both home and at community settings
• Provide services in diverse settings such as homes, daycare centers, and/or other community settings
• Ensure that progress is generalized and caregivers are active participants in intervention through addressing specific goals, coaching sessions, and communication with the entire team
• Prepare progress reports
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements

• PA Speech Therapy (SLP) license
• Early Intervention Experience OR Equivalent Experience
• Pediatric Experience
• Home Based Service Delivery Experience (preferred)
• Strong Clinical & Interpersonal Skills
• Excellent Written & Oral Communication Skills
