Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a Per Diem Speech-Language Pathologist to join our Home Health team in Pittsfield, MA. The role offers flexible scheduling, independent patient visits, and mileage/licensure reimbursement while delivering high-quality, in-home speech-language pathology services.

The SLP will assess swallowing and communication, develop treatment plans, educate families, and coordinate with physicians.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Speech-Language Pathologist license.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in speech-language pathology.
• Afternoon availability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized speech therapy treatment plans.
• Provide skilled interventions for speech, language, voice, and cognitive-communication disorders.
• Evaluate and treat swallowing disorders (dysphagia).
• Monitor patient progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Educate patients and caregivers on techniques and home exercises.
• Coordinate care with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Promote patient safety, independence, and continuity of care.

Your Role in Home Health

As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you'll provide skilled speech therapy services in patients' homes, helping individuals improve communication, cognitive function, swallowing, and overall quality of life. You'll assess patient needs, develop individualized treatment plans, provide therapeutic interventions, educate families, and coordinate care while building meaningful connections.
