Job description
Overview

Provides assessment of the communication needs of the students. Assesses each student's communication abilities using a variety of standardized measures for program development, develops appropriate communication programming, consisting of goal planning and program writing and implements these programs through specific therapeutic intervention. Consults with parents, teachers, and school district Child Study Teams to ensure coordination and consistency of identified goals in the student's Individual Educational Plans.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Clinical experience with students with autism.
  • Experience with applied behavior analysis with a team approach to planning and service delivery.
  • Solid interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable in the implementation of augmentative and alternative communication.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence and NJ State Licensure in Speech Pathology.
