Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology with CCC and NYS license.
• Experience in skilled nursing facility or subacute care is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and a cheerful, pleasant demeanor.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Respect for residents’ privacy and rights; empathy for the elderly.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

Speech Language Pathologist makes assessments and provides appropriate services to help residents improve and/or regain skills as part of a comprehensive therapy regimen. This level of care involves problem solving, working with an interdisciplinary team and implementing a proactive plan of care to maintain the highest level of functioning.

• Position requires a master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology with Certificate of Clinical Competence and current NYS license

• Experience in skilled nursing facility and subacute care

• Excellent customer service skills; cheerful and pleasant demeanor

• Positive attitude and outgoing personality with staff, residents and family members

• Self-motivated with flawless time and attendance

• Exceptional time management skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
