Job summary

Innovate Rehab and Wellness in Milan, MO is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing setting. The role focuses on one-on-one therapy with collaborative care provided by therapists and nursing staff.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in SLP with a valid state license; CCC-SLP is preferred. Experience is valued though new grads are welcome, with flexible scheduling and a competitive hourly rate based

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Valid state SLP license.
• CCC-SLP from ASHA preferred.
• Prior speech therapy experience preferred; new grads welcome.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and patient-care skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations for speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Provide therapy for articulation, cognitive-communication, and swallowing.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies and techniques.
• Collaborate with OTs, PTs, physicians, and nursing staff for comprehensive care.
• Document patient progress and update treatment plans accurately.
• Stay current with best practices and advances in speech-language pathology.
