In the pursuit of our mission, we are hiring a Speech & Language Pathologist. The Speech & Language Pathologist is responsible for identifying needs in speech and/or language in our students, and delivering intervention to support those needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree with major in Speech & Language Pathology (or related field)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence or be in your Clinical Fellowship Year
- Speech-Language Pathologist Certification
- Commitment to Lansing School District's mission and vision
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working with children, their families, and their school support systems
- Experience working with a diverse population of students in an urban school setting
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct & attend IEP meetings; write IEPs as needed; and monitor their effectiveness
- Conduct REEDs to evaluate students
- Submit all required reports, data, and documentation in a timely manner
- Schedule and deliver speech and/or language instruction to a caseload of students
- Coordinate and provide consultative services to general education teachers, parents, and other special education staff in the areas of speech and language
- Other tasks as needed in order to best serve Lansing students
