Job summary

Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide school-based services in Miami, Florida for the 2026–2027 school year. This part‑time contract runs 12 hours per week over 2 days, offering flexibility and meaningful impact on students' communication skills and academic success.

Responsibilities include evaluations, treatment planning, direct therapy, and collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support diverse speech-language needs

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program is required.
  • Active Florida Speech-Language Pathologist license is required.
  • ASHA CCC-SLP is preferred (Clinical Fellows may be considered depending on district needs).
  • Previous school-based or pediatric experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students with communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student IEP goals.
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services in individual and small-group settings.
  • Address articulation, expressive and receptive language, fluency, voice, social communication, and other speech-language needs.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and service logs.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers to support student success.
  • Utilize evidence‑based intervention strategies to improve communication skills and educational outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education regulations.

Position Overview
Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide school-based services in Miami, Florida for the 2026–2027 school year.
This part‑time opportunity is ideal for an SLP seeking a flexible schedule while making a meaningful impact on students' communication skills and academic success.
