Job summary

Birch Agency is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellow (CF) to join a school-based team in the McDonough, Georgia area for the 2026–2027 school year.

This part-time opportunity offers a flexible 24-hour per week schedule, supporting approximately 30 elementary students with comprehensive speech-language services in a collaborative setting. The role emphasizes IEP-aligned treatment, teamwork, and adherence to regulations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Active Georgia SLP license or eligibility for licensure.
• Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred but not required.
• Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to independently manage a school-based caseload and work with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students with communication disorders.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans aligned with students' IEP goals.
• Provide direct speech-language therapy services to elementary-aged students.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 30 K–5 students.
• Support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, MID, and other communication needs within the general education curriculum.
• Complete therapy services, evaluations, progress monitoring, IEP meetings, documentation, and case management.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers to promote student success.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.

Pay Rate: Starting at $50/hour (dependent on experience)

Position Overview

Birch Agency is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellow (CF) to join a school-based team in the McDonough, Georgia area for the 2026–2027 school year.

This part-time opportunity offers a flexible 24-hour per week schedule, making it an excellent fit for clinicians seeking work-life balance or supplemental hours. The SLP will support approximately 30 elementary-aged students in a collaborative school environment while providing comprehensive speech-language services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students with communication disorders.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans aligned with students' IEP goals.
• Provide direct speech-language therapy services to elementary-aged students.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 30 K–5 students.
• Support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Mild Intellectual Disabilities (MID), and other communication needs within the general education curriculum.
• Complete all required responsibilities, including therapy services, evaluations, progress monitoring, IEP meetings, documentation, and case management.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers to promote student success.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations.
• Utilize evidence-based therapy techniques to improve students' communication and educational outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program required.
• Active Georgia Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility for licensure required.
• Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred but not required.
• Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to independently manage a school-based caseload and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
