Job summary

Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to support K–12 students in Stuart, Florida for the 2026–2027 school year. The role offers a school-based contract with potential for 1–2 school sites and a caseload of 60–70 students; 60–70 service minutes weekly are typical.

The SLP will perform evaluations, develop IEP-aligned plans, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve communication outcomes. Florida licensure and CFs/CCC preferences are noted.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Active Florida SLP license required.
• CCC-SLP preferred; CFs may be considered.
• School-based or pediatric experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for K–12 students.
• Develop and implement IEP-aligned treatment plans.
• Provide direct speech-language therapy services using push-in and pull-out models.
• Manage a caseload of 60–70 students with quality service.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and Medicaid records when applicable.
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers.
• Address articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication disorders.
• Maintain compliance with state and district regulations.

Position Overview

Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K–12 students in a school-based setting in Stuart, Florida for the 2026–2027 school year.

This opportunity is ideal for an SLP who is passionate about helping students strengthen their communication skills and achieve academic success through evidence-based therapy and collaborative educational support.

The district is seeking a full-time SLP but is also open to considering part-time candidates. Clinicians will be assigned to 1–2 school sites, with placement determined by district needs while taking the candidate's preference into consideration whenever possible.

Position Highlights

• Assignment at 1–2 schools, based on district needs and candidate preference

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for K–12 students.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Provide direct speech-language therapy services through push-in and pull-out service delivery models.
• Manage a caseload averaging 60–70 students while maintaining quality, individualized services.
• Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation, therapy notes, progress reports, Medicaid documentation (when applicable), and compliance records.
• Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, staff meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers to support student success.
• Utilize evidence-based intervention strategies to address articulation, language, fluency, voice, social communication, and other communication disorders.
• Maintain compliance with state, federal, and district special education regulations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Active Florida Speech-Language Pathology License required.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Clinical Fellows (CFs) may be considered depending on district needs.
• Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, documentation, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to effectively manage a diverse K–12 caseload.
