Job summary

Alamitos Belmont Rehabilitation in Long Beach, CA, is seeking a dedicated PRN Speech-Language Pathologist to join our in-house therapy team. You will contribute to a dynamic work environment and have the opportunity to influence facility-level decisions with supportive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care needs according to clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatments per regulatory guidelines.
• Assist with transfers, standing, and mobility tasks as needed; manage equipment and patient safety.
• Perform procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including exercises, modalities, and wound care.
• Provide counseling to patients and families regarding physical disorders and care options.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory requirements.

PRN: Flexible schedule with work-life balance

Pay: $55- $60/hour based on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.
