Speech-Language Pathologist

Twin Oaks Health & Rehab, a leading provider of senior living services, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Twin Oaks Retirement Community in Lansing, KS. As a valued member of our community, you will play a crucial role in helping our residents achieve their highest level of communication and cognitive function.

About the Role

As a Speech‑Language Pathologist with Twin Oaks, you will provide high‑quality speech, language, and cognitive therapy services to our residents to help them recover from strokes, brain injuries, and other conditions that affect communication and swallowing. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each resident. Your expertise will help our residents regain their independence, improve their communication skills, and enhance their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and assess residents’ speech, language, and cognitive function
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication and swallowing disorders
  • Provide one‑on‑one and group therapy sessions to residents
  • Work closely with our healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
  • Conduct swallowing evaluations and provide recommendations for dysphagia management
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident treatment plans and progress
  • Stay up‑to‑date with the latest research and best practices in speech‑language pathology
Ideal Candidate
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech‑Language Pathology
  • Valid state licensure and American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association (ASHA) certification
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
