Job summary

Jobtailor in Kentucky is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide speech and language assessments and treatment using evidence-based techniques in developmentally appropriate contexts.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, engage families as part of the care plan, document evaluations and charges promptly, and mentor clinical staff while maintaining required licensure and certifications.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
  • Arkansas license is required.
  • ASHA CCC or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year.
  • Legal right to work in the United States on start date.
  • License or certificate required for application.
  • Screenings including background checks and drug tests may apply.

Job description

  • Provide speech-language assessments and treatment using evidence-based techniques in a naturalistic, developmentally appropriate manner
  • Work collaboratively and communicate effectively within the team
  • Engage families as members of the treatment team
  • Participate in multidisciplinary and department communication, patient care discussions, and meetings
  • Provide education, including serving as a clinical instructor or mentor and educating other disciplines within UAMS and/or the community
  • Document patient evaluation, treatment, and education and submit accurate, timely charges according to regulatory policies
  • Provide comprehensive patient evaluations using appropriate tests and measures
  • Formulate individualized plans of care, including speech/language assessment and age-appropriate vision/hearing screenings
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Serve children with special healthcare needs ages six weeks to five years in intensive-intervention pediatric day healthcare clinics
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology required
  • Must have Arkansas license
  • American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence, or eligibility pending completion of Clinical Fellowship Year
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
  • License or Certificate required for application
  • Subject to Adult Maltreatment, Child Maltreatment, Criminal Background Check, and Sex Offender Registry screening
  • Subject to pre-employment screening, including criminal background, drug testing, and/or education verification
