Job summary

Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide evidence-based therapy across acute care, inpatient rehab and outpatient settings. The role includes assessment, treatment planning, and family education to maximize patient outcomes.

Requirements include a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, MO license or eligibility, CCC-SLP or CFY in progress, and BCLS. Hospital experience is preferred; competitive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

  • Current Missouri State professional license or license eligible.
  • CCC-SLP from ASHA OR CFY in progress to obtain CCC-SLP within 2 years of hire.
  • BCLS required.
  • Prior hospital/health care experience preferred.

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and establish appropriate treatment goals and programs.
  • Coordinate the treatment program with other clinical/therapeutic services.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) carries out individualized therapy programs including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patient's progress toward achieving functional goals. The Speech Therapist supervises therapy aides and students. Role Responsibilities
  • You will perform comprehensive patient assessments and establish appropriate treatment goals and programs for patients in Acute care, Inpatient Rehab, and/or Outpatient.
  • You will coordinate the treatment program with other clinical/therapeutic services.
  • You will develop comprehensive goals for treatment to maximize patient outcomes.
  • You will deliver care and modify the care plan in accordance with the patient’s needs.
  • You will serve as an educator to patients, families, students and colleagues.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech - Language Pathology
  • Current Missouri State professional license or license eligible
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) OR currently completing Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in the process to obtain the CCC-SLP within 2 years from hire date.
  • BCLS required
  • Prior one year of hospital/health care related experience is preferred.
