Job summary

TheraPeds Partners is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based position in Houston, Texas. The role accepts both full-time and part-time schedules and requires on-site, in-person presence.

The SLP will deliver direct therapy, conduct evaluations, develop IEP plans, and collaborate with district staff, teachers, and families to support PreK-12 students. Licensure and ASHA credentials support the eligibility, with opportunities for CF-SLP placement.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Speech-Language Pathology.

• ASHA CCC preferred and DOE licensure where required.

Job Details

• Full-time, 37.5 hours/week
• Part-time 20 hours/week
• October 2026 - May 2027
• K - 5 grades
• Job Duties: direct therapy, consultation, evaluations, case management
• Guaranteed Hours: including documentation, administrative and planning time
• On-site, in person
• Manageable caseloads
• Dual support from the District and TheraPeds
• School located in Houston, TX.
• $60 - $75+/hour ($2250-$2812/week+)
• $60 - $75+/hour ($1200-$1500/week+)

Responsibilities

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, conducting assessments, developing IEP plans, evaluating progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents). The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD degree from a Speech-Language Pathology program
• State License as Speech-Language Pathologist
• Department of Education Licensure as a SLP
• National License: ASHA
• Licensing with the State Department of Education, where required
• CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred
• CF-SLP placement may be available
• Experience working with children
• Experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
• Organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in use of technology
• Fingerprint background clearanceAbility to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications

Physical Requirements

Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.
