Job summary

Recover-Care Heartland is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents with speech, hearing, swallowing, and cognitive disorders under physician guidance. You will screen, evaluate, and develop care plans, administer tests, and educate families on practice strategies.

Maintain documentation and adapt treatments to individual needs. The role requires an MS in Speech-Language Pathology, an active license, clinical competency certification, and preferred 1 year of

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• Current license in Speech Therapy as required by state law.
• Certification in clinical competency.
• One-year clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under a physician’s direction, provides direct patient / resident treatment based on established plan of care.
• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate care plan
• Plans, directs, or conducts rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communicative efficiency.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Instructs residents, families, and caregivers to monitor speech and provide ways to practice new skills.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
• Maintains patient records in an accurate and timely manner.
• Devises special tools and treatments for the specific needs of patients.
