Qualifications

• Current Texas SLP license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred/required as applicable.
• Experience in skilled nursing or subacute rehab preferred.
• New graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing treatment plans.
• Provide skilled speech-language therapy services in a subacute rehabilitation setting.
• Treat patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing impairments.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with occupational, physical, nursing, and medical staff within the interdisciplinary team.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment strategies.
• Maintain compliance with professional, facility, and regulatory standards.

AVIR at La Hacienda is an in-house subacute rehabilitation facility seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team. Full-time, part-time, and per diem opportunities are available.

Position Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing treatment plans.
• Provide skilled speech-language therapy services in a subacute rehabilitation setting.
• Treat patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing impairments.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
