Job summary

Angels Care Home Health in Iowa is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (ST) to provide in-home therapy for patients with speech, language, swallowing and cognitive disorders. You will assess, develop and adjust treatment plans, and coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize functional communication and swallowing safety.

The role offers full-time hours, a vehicle allowance, on-call pay, comprehensive health benefits, PTO, and opportunities for CEU training and internal promotion.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current state license in Speech Language Pathology.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans.

The Speech Language Pathologist is a registered professional who provides therapeutic techniques for the rehabilitation of patients with speech, language, hearing, oral motor, swallowing, and cognitive disorders.

Functions:

• Provides coordinated care to patients in their place of residence.
• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans to restore or maintain patient well-being.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
• Current state license in Speech Language Pathology.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence from American Speech Language Hearing Association.
• Valid driver’s license.
• 2 years’ experience in an acute care or rehabilitation setting, home health preferred.
• Reliable transportation with current auto liability insurance.
