Job summary

Blue Palms Health & Rehabilitation in DeLand, FL is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team. The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders for residents across a range of conditions.

This full-time role offers a supportive interdisciplinary environment, opportunity to advance patient care, and a sign-on bonus of $1,500. Florida licensure and CCC-SLP are required, with CFY considered.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current Florida licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• ASHA CCC-SLP certification (or CFY may be considered).
• CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based therapy services to patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for coordinated care.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on communication and swallowing strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in discharge planning and recommend follow-up services.
• Comply with HIPAA regulations and facility policies.
