Job summary

The Center for Disability Services is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a preschool setting at Glenville Clover Patch. The role involves delivering quality therapy, assessing function, and implementing treatment plans in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Applicants must hold NYS licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist and NYS Teaching Certification (TSHH or TSSLD); ASHA CCC is required for supervision of interns and CF candidates. Equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality speech-language pathology services in preschool setting.

• Maintain clinical documentation and cosign student work as assigned.
• Communicate with physicians, IDT members, and school districts as needed.
• Supervise Clinical Fellows and student interns; maintain licensure requirements.

Many of the innovative programs and vital services that we offer are not available elsewhere.The Center for Disability Services is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist for our Glenville Clover Patch; this is a preschool setting.Responsibilities:Provides quality speech-language pathology therapy servicesAssesses current level of functionDevelops and implement an appropriate treatment planMaintains complete and accurate clinical documentationReviews and cosigns documentation completed by Clinical Fellows and students as assignedCommunicates with physicians, IDT members, caregivers, and vendors, and specific to Education Speech-Language Pathologists with school districts, and county service providersEvaluates treatment outcomes and modifies treatment plans as neededMaintains clinical and professional knowledge baseWrites necessary scripts and communicates diagnoses with physicians/medical professionalsComplies with Federal, State, and local legal and professional requirementsSupervises assigned Clinical Fellow candidates and/or student internsMaintains all continuing education requirements for licensureRequirements:Graduate degree (Masters) in field of Speech-Language PathologyNew York State Licensure as a Speech-Language PathologistNYS Teaching Certification as a TSHH (Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped) or TSSLD (Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities)American Speech-Language Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence is required for all who supervise student interns and Clinical Fellowship candidatesMust be at least 18 years old to apply for this position.
