Job summary

Warm Hearth at Home in Blacksburg area is expanding its Home Health Therapy team and seeking a regular PRN Speech-Language Pathologist to serve clients in Christiansburg and surrounding counties.

You will evaluate patients at home, set measurable goals, coordinate with an interdisciplinary team, and document care promptly. The role offers hourly pay ($45–$50) and mileage reimbursement, with a part-time PRN schedule (<20 hours/week).

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in speech-language pathology.
• Current license to practice as an SLP in Virginia.
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
• BLS/CPR certification or willingness to complete upon employment.
• Home health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients in the home setting and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure effective intervention.
• Establish measurable goals with regular reassessment to maximize therapy effectiveness.
• Maintain clear communication with support staff, physicians, and families to ensure coordinated care.
• Complete documentation timely, accurately, and completely.

Our Home Health agency is staffed fully in-house with a small, tight-knit administrative staff and HR department.
