Job summary

RCM Healthcare Services is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist in Buckeye, AZ, onsite to support students with speech and language needs. The role emphasizes direct and consultative services to maximize educational benefit.

Must hold MA in Speech-Language Pathology, CCC, AZ SLP licensure, and IVP Fingerprint Clearance. Collaborative with teachers and staff to develop IEPs and ensure confidentiality.

Qualifications

• MA in Speech/Language Pathology required.
• CCC certification required.
• Arizona SLP licensure required.
• Must obtain/maintain IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Observe, describe, and refer students with speech/language impairments.
• Conduct screening, assessment and diagnosis; interpret results for parents/teachers.
• Develop and monitor IEPs for eligible students.
• Refer to community agencies and specialists.
• Provide individualized therapy programs to address needs and improve function.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement therapy in daily activities.
• Provide information/support to families; communicate progress.
• Deliver in-service education and serve as a consultant on speech services.

JOB GOAL

To provide direct or consultative services to students with identified disabilities related to speech and/or language in order to derive full benefit from the district's educational programs.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• MA in Speech/Language Pathology


• Certification of Clinical Competence


• Arizona Department of Health Speech-Language Pathologist Licensure


• Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Assists and guides teachers in observing, describing, and referring students with suspected and identified speech and language impairments.


• Conducts a thorough screening, assessment and diagnosis of speech, voice, and language impairments; interprets results to parents and teachers and writes appropriate recommendations and reports.


• Develops, implements, and monitors IEPs for students eligible for speech and language services.


• Assists in proper referrals of individuals to agencies and specialists in the community, as


• Provides appropriate individualized programs of therapy to meet individual student's needs and correct existing speech and/or language dysfunction.


• Collaborates with classroom teachers and other school staff members to implement therapy by suggestions for the student's daily activities.


• Provides information and support to parents and families when appropriate.


• Provides in-service education and serves as a consultant to teachers and school staff members on topics concerning speech services.


• Keeps thorough ongoing records for the individual student receiving therapy or other school provided speech services.


• Participates in professional growth activities and keeps abreast of new developments in the field.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
