Job summary

Boost Home Healthcare - Northeastern Ohio is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to provide intermittent in-home speech therapy under physician orders and supervision.

You will evaluate, plan, and administer full-range SLP services, collaborate with physicians, supervise aides where appropriate, and support patient independence. Flexible work-from-home options are available; commitment to respectful, patient-centered care is emphasized.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech Language Pathology and licensure in the state of practice.
  • Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist by the state where services are furnished.
  • Completed 350 clock hours of supervised clinical practicum (or in progress).
  • At least nine months of supervised full-time SLP experience.
  • Currently licensed in the state(s) in which practicing.
  • Minimum of one year in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

  • Gather background data, review referrals, select and modify evaluation tools, and evaluate patients determining the level of patient’s physical and psychosocial functioning.
  • Reevaluate the patient’s progress during treatment at appropriate intervals and modify adaptive equipment to augment independence.
  • Provide full range speech language pathology services as ordered by physician.
  • Consult with physicians regarding change of treatment.
  • Supervise home health aides as appropriate per state and federal guidelines.
  • Evaluate outcomes and discharge planning.

A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) administers speech therapy to patients on an intermittent basis in their place of residence. This is performed in accordance with physician orders and plan of care under the direction and supervision of the Director of Clinical Services/Clinical Supervisor or Manager, Speech therapy services are furnished only by or under the supervision of a qualified speech pathologist.

What we’re looking for:
  • A passion to serve and help others live their best lives possible.
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech Language Pathology, and is licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist by the state where they furnish services, -or-
  • Successfully completed 350 clock hours of supervised clinical practicum (or be in the process of completing), at least nine months of supervised full-time SLP experience, and has successfully completed a national examination approved by the Secretary.
  • Currently licensed in the state(s) in which practicing (refer to SLP state specific qualifications).
  • Minimum of one (1) year in an acute care setting.
