• Position: Speech Language Pathologist
• Employment Type: PRN
• Compensation: $45-$48/hour
• Location: Laurel Grove by Barclay House

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
• Re-assess treatment effectiveness regularly, attend staffing meetings and family conferences
• Conduct discharge evaluations, provide safety recommendations, and offer referral and education resources
• Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physicians, patients, and families
• Collaborate with other disciplines to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

Required qualifications include:

• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Valid Speech Language Pathology license in practice states
• Current CPR certification
• At least one year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist preferred
• Knowledge of evidence-based therapy interventions
• Familiarity with assisted living, independent living, geriatrics, and/or home health
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with some tasks requiring lifting up to 100 pounds following safety procedures
• Fine motor skills, visual acuity, and ability to stand/walk for extended periods, including pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, kneeling, and positioning
