Job summary

The Lakes Home Care, Inc. is seeking a Speech Therapist Assistant in Florida to support Speech-Language Pathologists in evaluating and treating patients across neonatal to geriatric ages. You will assist with assessments, implement therapy, and document progress during sessions.

You will help develop individualized treatment plans, teach exercises to improve speech and communication, and collaborate on AAC strategies while maintaining accurate records and participating in team meetings.

Qualifications

• Experience with pediatrics, adults and geriatrics or school settings.
• Knowledge of IEPs and pediatric therapy planning.
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to speech pathology.
• Ability to work in critical care environments.
• Proficiency in patient assessment techniques.
• Strong case management and compassionate patient care.
• Experience with standardized testing procedures.
• Inpatient settings experience

Responsibilities

• Assist SLPs in patient assessments and information gathering.
• Implement prescribed therapies under supervision.
• Provide direct patient care and document progress.
• Support treatment plan development and modification.
• Instruct patients in exercises to improve speech and communication.
• Collaborate on AAC strategies with the team.
• Maintain timely documentation of interactions and progress.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss plans and progress.
