The Speech & Language Pathologist provides the student with services that promote improvement in receptive and expressive language skills, speech intelligibility, non-verbal communication skills, written language skills and socialization. The Speech & Language Pathologist works in close collaboration with the classroom teacher and therapists from other disciplines to offer an integrated teaching and treatment approach in implementing the IEP. Services are based on the developmental and clinical needs of the student.
Maintain a professional, confidential and ethical relationship with administrators, colleagues, parents, students, and others at all times.
Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, in-service activities, and other meetings as required.
Maintain proper credentials for assignment and remain educationally informed in all related areas including PDE regulations and state/national standards through continued professional study and attending workshops and conferences.
Perform related duties, special assignments and projects as assigned.
