Job description

Job Details

This is a temporary position with no leave or retirement benefits. Temporary employees working an average of 30+ hours/week may be eligible for health insurance under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). For more information, visit www.shpnc.org.

Note: Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their current position to work in a temporary role. Each temporary assignment is limited to one at a time.

This position is located in Rocky Mount - Nash County, at 141 Storage Rd., Rocky Mount, NC 27804.

Position Purpose

The purpose of this role is to provide eligibility evaluations for children referred to the NC Infant-Toddler Program.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Working knowledge of agency goals, treatment programs, and referral resources.
  • Knowledge of speech and language pathology theories, techniques, and procedures, including understanding communicative disorders relevant to the client group.
  • Ability to administer and interpret diagnostic tests to assess communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement therapeutic treatment plans, maintain client records, and work effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.

Additional Information

This position is licensed by the Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists.

Hourly Rate: $41.77 (based on education and experience).
