AdventHealth in Lake Wales, FL, seeks a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to join its Sports Medicine and Rehab team. The role involves supervising therapy aides, conducting evaluations, and developing individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.

• Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology is required.
• SLP license required (or provisional/temporary as applicable).
• BLS CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee care provided by therapy aides per regulations and standards.
• Perform evaluations and re-evaluations; establish and adapt treatment plans with goals and frequency.
• Discharge patients when maximum benefit is achieved and document progress clearly.
• Adjust to patient census by scheduling and assisting in other centers as needed.
• Support marketing and public awareness through community events and lectures.
• Maintain clinical knowledge and apply best or evidence-based practices; serve as Clinical instructor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

• Schedule: Weekdays, typically 8am-5pm. 16-24 hours per week.
• Location: Sports Medicine and Rehab 410 S 11TH ST LAKE WALES, FL 33853
• Oversees the care provided by therapy aides, according to established regulations and practice standards.
• Performs evaluations and re-evaluations using recommended techniques and standards. Establishes, implements, and adapts individualized treatment plans, including goal setting, treatment activities, and frequency.
• Discharges patients when maximum benefit is achieved or according to standards of practice and payer guidelines. Documents accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology.
• Adjusts and adapts to changes in patient census by altering working hours and assisting in other centers/programs as needed. Practices principles of employee and patient safety in daily job activities
• Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures, and other extensions of clinical expertise to the community.
• Practices principles of professional development and performance improvements by maintaining clinical knowledge, using best and or evidence-based practices, and serving as a Clinical instructor.
• Other duties as assigned.
