Qualifications

• Experience working with K-12 students; 2 years teaching preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree with GPA ≥3.0; Master’s degree preferred.
• GPA 2.5–3.0 acceptable with extra recommendations.
• Connecticut certified.
• Certification needed: 165 Comprehensive Special Education, PreK–12.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive, structured learning environment that motivates students to reach ambitious goals.
• Build classroom community by partnering with families to support student success and development.
• Use data from interim assessments to guide instruction and interventions.
• Plan and implement unit and lesson plans with the grade level team.
• Model and embody AF’s core values in all interactions.
