AMIkids in Shreveport, LA is seeking an ESE/SPED Teacher to provide instruction and guidance to youth with special needs, aligned to local curriculum and IEPs. The role focuses on safe, supportive learning and social-emotional growth while helping students achieve academic goals.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree in Education, current SPED/ESE certification, and experience with high-risk youth or similar settings; teaching or coursework experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field.
• Current SPED/ESE Teaching Certification.
• Experience teaching or coursework with primary instruction; high-risk youth preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and teach youth based on IEP outcomes and assessments.
• Implement AMIkids' core model and Positive Youth Development elements.
• Maintain a safe, supportive learning environment focused on individual goals.
• Collaborate with staff to promote student progress.
