Job summary

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Experience with students with special education needs.
Alignment with Lansing School District's mission and values.
Michigan teaching certificate with SPED endorsement preferred.
Urban teaching experience preferred.
Training in CRPBIS, CPI or related methods.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate passion and expertise in SPED.
Support students in reaching IEP goals.
Document progress toward IEP goals and develop new goals.
Provide instruction in math, literacy, social studies, and science to students on caseload with general education teachers.
Use data to differentiate instruction effectively.
Grow by incorporating feedback from leaders and PD sessions.
Build relationships with students and parents for a safe, welcoming environment.
Other duties as assigned to support the district mission.
