Job summary

Academies of Math and Science (AMS) in the Phoenix & Mesa area is seeking a dedicated Special Education (SPED) Teacher for current and future openings. You will deliver specialized instruction and implement IEPs while coordinating with families, general education teachers, and support staff.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree and AZ teaching eligibility with SPED certification preferred, strong data use, and excellent collaboration skills to support students’ academic, behavioral, and

Qualifications

• BS/BA and valid AZ SPED eligibility or certification.
• Experience with students with disabilities.
• Knowledge of IEP development and progress monitoring.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to implement BIPs and accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction and individualized support to students receiving special education services.
• Develop, implement, monitor, and maintain student IEPs with timelines.
• Monitor progress toward IEP goals using data to adjust instruction.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and staff.
• Support students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
• Participate in IEP meetings and campus initiatives.
