Job summary

Rutherford County Schools is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide instructional support for students with IEPs. You will plan and deliver specialized instruction, monitor progress, and collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with IEP requirements.

The ideal candidate will implement reading and math strategies, coordinate IEP meetings, maintain records, and communicate effectively with parents while upholding high professional standards.

Qualifications

• Able to write and implement all components of an IEP.
• Must be able to use a variety of reading and math strategies to meet the needs of exceptional students.
• Must be a strong communicator with parents and able to hold structured IEP meetings to meet all requirements.
• Must be a critical thinker, team player, collaborator, and able to use students' academic performance data to make accurate decisions to meet students needs.
• Must maintain regular attendance.
• Must be able to interact with students.
