S F A 101 in Dayton, TX is seeking an Instructional Aide to support the classroom and teachers immediately. The role involves preparing materials, assisting with testing, supervising students, and helping with records and substitute coverage.

Ideal candidates have some college, an associate degree, or related experience, strong communication, and the ability to work with children in a fast-paced environment. The position is full-time with hourly pay between $13.80 and $16.56.

Formación

• At least 2 years of study at an institution of higher education.
• Associate’s degree or higher.
• Meet a rigorous standard of quality test.
• Ability to work well with children and in a 1-on-1 setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Experience working with children.
• Ability to handle high stress and fast paced work enviroment.

Responsabilidades

• Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Assist with administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments.
• Help maintain neat and orderly classroom.
• Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
• Help teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher; work with individual students or small groups or whole class.
• Help supervise students throughout school day, inside and outside classroom. This includes lunchroom, bus, and playground duty.
• When substitute is unavailable, cover classroom assignments as needed.
• Keep teacher informed of special needs or problems of individual students.
• Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.
• Participate in faculty meeting and special events as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
