SPED - Speech Language Therapist Pool - 2025/26

Overview

The Alameda Unified School District is dedicated to equity and excellence, providing inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environments for a diverse student body of approximately 9,000 students across 17 schools. Our community speaks 72 languages, with 12% receiving Special Education Services and 14% being English Language Learners. Responsibilities
  • Provide speech-language pathology services to students with language and speech disabilities.
  • Collaborate with educators and families to support student needs.
Qualifications
  • Valid California Services Credential in Clinical or Rehabilitative Services in Language, Speech, and Hearing or a Master's in Speech Pathology with licensure from the Audiology Board.
  • Ability to work with students who have speech and language disabilities.
  • Desired: Augmentative and Alternative Communication certification.
Additional Information

Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential holders receive an annual stipend based on experience: 14% of Step 1, BA +30 for 1-5 years; 14% of Step 6, BA +30 for 6+ years. The stipend is prorated for part-time employees. Applications are open from 3/7/2025 to 3/12/2025, with reopening on 3/13/2025. Applicants must attach a resume, introduction letter, transcripts or degree copy, credential/license, and three recommendation letters.
