Job summary

The Special Education Supervisor at LEARN Academy provides leadership and oversight of special education services across assigned school settings, guiding IEP development to ensure high-quality, compliant programs that help students with diverse learning needs succeed.

Working closely with educators, families, administrators, and school partners, the role promotes positive student outcomes while strengthening LEARN Academy’s special education services.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in education or related field.
• At least 5 years of school-based experience in special education.
• State license/certification and relevant credentials required.
• Pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee special education programs ensuring high-quality services and compliance.
• Maintain regular on-site presence to support staff and observe service delivery.
• Lead, coach, and develop special education staff through observations and PD.
• Support development and implementation of IEPs, including meetings and data collection.
• Deliver training based on staff needs, compliance, and district priorities.
• Build relationships with school/district leaders, families, staff, and stakeholders.
• Monitor program performance via audits and data review to drive improvement.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and leadership on recruitment and outreach.
• Support new business development and partnerships with districts.
• Stay current on special education laws and professional standards.
