Job summary

Alvin ISD is seeking a SPED Fundamental Skills Paraprofessional to assist in providing for the physical and instructional needs of students with disabilities. You will work under the direction of a certified teacher and school administrator to support classroom programs and student development.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 48 college hours or an Associate's degree, and the Texas Education Aide Certificate obtainable through Alvin ISD upon hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of college study totaling 48 hours, or an Associates Degree.
• Passing score on the Paraprofessional Assessment of Competencies, if applicable.
• Valid Texas Education Aide Certificate obtainable through Alvin ISD when hired.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supporting the instructional and physical needs of students with disabilities.
• Help implement classroom programs including self-help, behavior management, and instructional activities.
• Work under the supervision of the principal and a certified teacher.
