Job summary

Oakridge Public Schools seeks a Paraprofessional (4) for Oakridge Upper Elementary. The role supports students with disabilities, assists with physical needs, and collaborates with teachers, therapists and staff. Training sessions may be required and CPR is preferred.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, plus options for higher education or WorkKeys/MTTC/Parapro assessments. Lifting up to 75 pounds and two-person lift capability are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Highly qualified with one of: Associate degree or higher; 60 semester hours; WorkKeys; MTTC/Basic Skills; Parapro score.
• Experience with children with disabilities.
• Ability to assist with physical needs and monitor during medical episodes.
• Knowledge/experience with two-person lift and SoloLift.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds.
• Scribe notes and assignments.
• Available to attend training sessions as needed.
• CPR certified preferred.

Responsibilities

• Duties within the building determined by the principal with special education staff.
• Assist with physical needs of students and monitor during medical episodes.
• Support teachers, speech therapist, physical therapist and AT coordinator.
• Attend training sessions as needed.
