Job summary

Young World Physical Education is seeking an Educational Support Professional: Paraprofessional‑SPED for Twain Elementary School. This role provides instructional and behavioral support to students under the direction of a certified teacher, enhancing their academic and functional skills.

The ideal candidate should possess strong collaboration skills, experience with students with disabilities, and a high school diploma or equivalent. The position is temporary and involves various responsibilities supporting classroom operations and student learning.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with disabilities or in a related setting.
• Ability to remain calm in high-stress situations.
• Bilingual skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional and behavioral support under a certified teacher.
• Implement accommodations from students' IEPs.
• Monitor and report student progress and behavior.

Skills

Supporting individualized and small group instruction aligned to IEP goals

Observing, documenting, and reporting student progress and behavior
