Job summary

Alpine School District seeks a SPED Para-Educator II to support Lifeskills, Autism, ED programs at Lone Peak. Under the supervision of the classroom teacher, you will assist in supervision, care and instruction of students with special needs in regular or self-contained settings.

Responsibilities include adapting activities to IEP goals, supporting health and personal care, monitoring behavior, collecting data, and communicating with staff.

Qualifications

• 16+ years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Job related experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Adapts activities and materials to support objectives and IEP goals.
• Administers immediate first aid and medical assistance as instructed.
• Assists students with self-care activities (toileting, eating, dressing).
• Attends trainings (first aid, behavior management).
• Collects data for teachers and prepares reports.
