Lawrence Public Schools is seeking a SPED MOD Teacher for Leahy Elementary School to support diverse learners in a standards-based program aligned to Massachusetts and Common Core standards.

The role requires MA Teacher Certification, a Bachelor's degree, and English proficiency; Spanish bilingual abilities are preferred. This is a full-time, non-exempt salaried position within a district committed to equity and high expectations.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Teacher Certification in appropriate area.
• Proficient in English.
• Bachelor's Degree Required
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Motivate students to work hard and learn.
• Design, implement, and share curricula aligned to MA and Common Core standards.
• Motivate students to reach high achievement by setting goals and giving feedback on progress.
• Build supportive relationships with fellow teachers and staff, and provide feedback to develop associate teachers.
• Other duties as assigned by administration.
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Prior experience teaching in this area preferred.
• Ability to implement a safe, purposeful classroom environment that prioritizes learning for all students.
• Ability to collaborate with other teachers, instructional leaders, and partners to ensure instruction meets all needs.
