Job summary

Paradise Valley USD 69 seeks a SPED LD Resource Teacher for Echo Mountain Intermediate and Liberty Elementary in Phoenix. The role is 1.0 FTE, non‑interim, split between morning and afternoon sessions from 07/27/2026 to 05/27/2027, starting immediately.

The position requires developing students with special needs in academics and daily living skills, collaborating with staff, and delivering instruction within established curricula. EOE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• Arizona Teaching Certificate or equivalent is required.
• SEI Endorsement required.
• Appropriately certified in core content area.
• CPR and First Aid certifications or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Administers assessments to determine student needs.
• Delivers individualized and group instruction according to IEP goals.
• Maintains confidential records and reports progress to parents and administrators.
• Collaborates with staff and administrators to support student outcomes.
• Manages classroom behavior and safety.
• Participates in IEP meetings and PLC teams.
• Orders supplies and coordinates with support staff.
